Detailed answers to common questions in the production of paper trays for molded pulp packaging

Oct 28, 2021

1. Why are there deviation burrs around the flanging products

The burrs are not controlled by the vacuum absorption molding technology paper tray packaging, and the pulp will not form burrs after forming a flat edge, which is beyond the control of the vacuum absorption molding technology. If the customer's requirements are high, you can use a knife to cut, or you can use a knife to cut burrs.

2. Why are there slight cracks on the surface of the product?

During the forming process of paper products, the pulp fibers are naturally absorbed into a mass, and the liquid pulp of the paper tray packaging cannot flow out in several grooves. The thickness of the paper at different positions after drying is different from the standard thickness in the design. Therefore, in the high-pressure forming process, when being squeezed by a strong external force, the outermost fiber at the uneven thickness of the inner and outer walls breaks, and small cracks appear on the surface. This phenomenon will not affect the packaging strength of the paper pallet, so it can be accepted in the industry.

3. Why set up MOQ

After pulping, forming paper tray packaging molds, adjusting molds, drying, and molding for about 30 minutes, the production cost of paper trays has increased significantly due to too few molds. Paper pallet products are low value-added products, the quantity is too small, and the transportation cost has also risen sharply. Therefore, MOQ must be set.
