The design of the structural elements of the buffer packaging is the basis of the structural design of the paper tray packaging products. At present, the design of the structural elements of the paper tray packaging products in China is still in the primary design stage. The basic structural elements of the paper tray packaging products usually include waveforms, table shapes, Hemispherical shape, among which waveform and table shape are more common. The performance of the basic structural elements is mainly reflected by the bearing capacity, the absorption and resilience of impact energy:

1. Carrying capacity

With different paper tray packaging buffer structures, the static load and deformation conditions are different. General research and testing have demonstrated load-deformation for static testing of structural elements of ideal cushioning packages. It is all that the force on the items in the package is not increasing, and the capacity is completely absorbed by the paper holder. Tests have proved that another important factor affecting the bearing capacity is the slope. Considering the single bearing capacity, the smaller the slope of the sidewall of the buffer structure, the higher the bearing capacity. Small, it will affect the release of the paper tray.

2. Energy absorption

In the process of product circulation, the paper holder can absorb the external energy to protect the product. The greater the absorbed energy, the better the buffering capacity. In addition, the degree of energy absorption is also related to the physical state of the paper holder, such as density, quality and deformation laws.

3. Resilience

It is very important for the structure of the paper tray package to restore the original size after loading. The paper tray designed with a good structure has a great advantage in resilience. The better the protection of the product, therefore, in the initial stage of the product, we require designers to fully consider the structure, process and other aspects in the design process.
