Pockets for hub, mounts and screws
Smart home products ship as installation kits. A hub, a power supply, one or two mounting brackets, a pack of screws and a quick-start card, and the customer has to work out which bracket belongs to which step.
A formed insert can do part of that explaining. We lay the tray out in the order the instructions ask for:
- Device pocket for the hub or sensor, supported clear of any button or lens.
- Hardware compartment for screws and wall plugs, with a shallow tray and a creased lip so small parts do not spread everywhere.
- Bracket recesses, one per mount, sized so each bracket reads as a distinct part rather than part of a stack.
- Card and cable slots pressing flat into the tray floor, keeping the box at minimum height.
Because these products iterate quickly and hardware changes between revisions, we usually recommend a tray designed with one or two generically-sized hardware pockets, so a change of screw count or bracket size does not require a new tool.

Q: Can you produce inserts that fit my device exactly?
A: Yes. We custom-mold each insert from your 3D drawing or physical sample, with tight-tolerance wet-pressed options for a precise fit. Samples are provided for approval before mass production.
Q: Is molded fiber packaging suitable for electronics?
A: Yes. Molded fiber is a dry, non-conductive material widely used for consumer electronics packaging, and anti-static options are available. Please specify your ESD requirements when requesting a quote.
