Sugarcane clamshells for retail and food service
This clamshell is moulded from sugarcane bagasse, the fiber left after sugar milling, and the material choice shows up in two places that matter commercially: the finished surface is bright without bleaching, and the wall is strong enough to be handled as a container rather than a liner.
Where it is used:
- Food service and takeaway - hinged boxes for hot and cold dishes, from single portions to compartmented trays.
- Fresh produce - vented clamshells for berries, cherry tomatoes, figs and other soft fruit that needs airflow and a visible pack.
- Retail sets - a closed fiber shell for small hardware, cosmetics or gift items where a plastic blister would previously have been used.
Because the part is pressed in one piece, the hinge, the closure and any internal divider come free with the tool rather than as separate parts. Vent patterns and compartments are formed in the mould too, which keeps the pack to a single article number instead of an insert-plus-lid-plus-bag kit.
End of life stays in the paper and organic streams, which is the point of the format: the customer gets a container that behaves like plastic and disposes like paper. A: Yes. Our food-grade molded fiber trays are produced from virgin plant fiber and comply with food-contact requirements. Please tell us your destination market when requesting a quotation, and we will confirm the applicable compliance documents (for example FDA or EU 1935/2004).

A: Yes. We offer PFAS-free, plastic-free molded fiber trays with water and oil resistance achieved through fiber selection and forming process, rather than fluorochemical coatings.
