Wet-pressed trays for earbuds, routers and small devices
Small consumer devices ask for a tray that does two contradictory things: hold a part the size of a coin firmly enough to survive a parcel drop, and look clean enough to be the first thing a customer sees.
Wet pressing is the process that makes both possible. Fiber is drawn onto the tool and pressed while still wet, so the wall comes out dense and smooth with sharply defined cavity edges. Dry-pressed trays are cheaper, but they cannot hold the fine detail small devices need.
- Cavity for the device with clearance for a charging case lid, a button or a protruding stem.
- Second pocket for the cable, moulded so a coiled cable cannot spring against the product.
- Dimensional stability across a long run, which is what keeps an automated placement arm working.
- A print-ready face for a logo, a specification line or a colour-matched tone.
Typical applications beyond earbuds include routers and access points, smart-home hubs, small cameras and wearable docks. Because the tray is one moulded part, the foam pad and the plastic bag that normally travel with a small device come out of the pack.

A: Yes. Our food-grade molded fiber trays are produced from virgin plant fiber and comply with food-contact requirements. Please tell us your destination market when requesting a quotation, and we will confirm the applicable compliance documents (for example FDA or EU 1935/2004).
Q: Are your molded fiber food trays PFAS-free?
A: Yes. We offer PFAS-free, plastic-free molded fiber trays with water and oil resistance achieved through fiber selection and forming process, rather than fluorochemical coatings.
Q: Can you produce trays in custom shapes and compartment layouts?
A: Yes. We custom-mold trays to your product dimensions and required compartment layout, based on your 3D drawing or physical sample. Samples are provided for approval before mass production.
