Beer trays: bottles, cans and the condensation that follows
Beer packaging has an awkward physical profile: a heavy glass bottle with a crown cap, moved in cases, often chilled and dripping by the time it is opened, sometimes shipped as a mixed pack of bottles and cans.
Our molded pulp trays are built for that combination:
- Crown-cap clearance in every pocket, so the closure and its crimp are not loaded by the tray above.
- Shoulder support that carries the bottle's weight, the load path that keeps glass intact through a case drop.
- Mixed-format trays with bottle positions and can positions in the same plate, for mixed cases.
- Moisture behaviour that holds up in a chilled chain - a pressed fiber wall keeps its shape where a moulded pulp tray with a soft binder would sag.
Dry-pressed recycled fiber keeps the unit cost low for case and pallet work; a smoother wet-pressed variant is used when the tray is also the retail display. Both are printable with the brewery's mark in a single colour or with a printed paper collar on the fiber.

Q: What is the production lead time?
A: Lead time is generally 15-25 days after sample approval, depending on order quantity and technical difficulty. The exact schedule is confirmed together with your order.
Q: Is molded fiber packaging safe for direct food contact?
A: Yes. Our food-grade molded fiber trays are produced from virgin plant fiber and comply with food-contact requirements. Please tell us your destination market when requesting a quotation, and we will confirm the applicable compliance documents (for example FDA or EU 1935/2004).
Q: Are your molded fiber food trays PFAS-free?
A: Yes. We offer PFAS-free, plastic-free molded fiber trays with water and oil resistance achieved through fiber selection and forming process, rather than fluorochemical coatings.
Q: Can you produce trays in custom shapes and compartment layouts?
A: Yes. We custom-mold trays to your product dimensions and required compartment layout, based on your 3D drawing or physical sample. Samples are provided for approval before mass production.
