Hardware trays: load, abrasion and mixed kits
Hardware covers a wide range - bolts and brackets, tools, locks, castors, small electrical fittings - but the packaging questions repeat: is it heavy, does it have a sharp edge, and does the carton also carry small parts that must not get lost in it.
How our trays handle hardware:
- Load-bearing walls thickened where the mass sits, so a heavy bracket does not punch through a thin pressed section.
- Edge and corner clearance for machined or cast parts with a burr or a sharp corner that would otherwise abrade the fiber and, more importantly, the coating beside it.
- Kit layouts with a pocket per part - a lock plus its keys and screws, or a bracket plus its fixings - kept separate by moulded dividers.
- Print-ready surface for part numbers and handling marks applied directly to the fiber.
Recycled kraft fiber keeps the unit cost competitive with a die-cut card set while offering three-dimensional containment that card cannot provide, and the tray goes into the paper stream with the carton rather than needing separate disposal.

Q: What is the production lead time?
A: Lead time is generally 15-25 days after sample approval, depending on order quantity and technical difficulty. The exact schedule is confirmed together with your order.
Q: Is molded fiber packaging safe for direct food contact?
A: Yes. Our food-grade molded fiber trays are produced from virgin plant fiber and comply with food-contact requirements. Please tell us your destination market when requesting a quotation, and we will confirm the applicable compliance documents (for example FDA or EU 1935/2004).
Q: Are your molded fiber food trays PFAS-free?
A: Yes. We offer PFAS-free, plastic-free molded fiber trays with water and oil resistance achieved through fiber selection and forming process, rather than fluorochemical coatings.
Q: Can you produce trays in custom shapes and compartment layouts?
A: Yes. We custom-mold trays to your product dimensions and required compartment layout, based on your 3D drawing or physical sample. Samples are provided for approval before mass production.
