Shipping cushions built from your carton inwards
A wine shipping cushion is a packaging problem with a fixed constraint: the outer carton already exists, usually a standard parcel box with a known drop height. So we design from the carton inwards, around the bottle.
Cushion geometry, in the order the decisions are made:
- Bottle suspension - the bottle is held at the shoulder and base with a clearance gap to the carton wall, so the fiber wall - not the glass - takes the impact.
- Cushion wall thickness matched to the filled weight and the drop height the parcel has to pass, rather than to a single stock thickness.
- Top and bottom cap sets for single bottles, or an up-and-down plate pair for six and twelve-bottle slots.
- Neck clearance so the closure and capsule are never loaded, which is where a bottle leaks or the capsule creases.
The cushion can also be designed to double as the retail presentation insert, so a wine sold both in a gift box and by parcel does not need two different fiber parts. Material options run from recycled kraft for transport-only packs to a smooth bagasse white for retail.

A: Lead time is generally 15-25 days after sample approval, depending on order quantity and technical difficulty. The exact schedule is confirmed together with your order.
Q: Is molded fiber packaging safe for direct food contact?
A: Yes. Our food-grade molded fiber trays are produced from virgin plant fiber and comply with food-contact requirements. Please tell us your destination market when requesting a quotation, and we will confirm the applicable compliance documents (for example FDA or EU 1935/2004).
Q: Are your molded fiber food trays PFAS-free?
A: Yes. We offer PFAS-free, plastic-free molded fiber trays with water and oil resistance achieved through fiber selection and forming process, rather than fluorochemical coatings.
Q: Can you produce trays in custom shapes and compartment layouts?
A: Yes. We custom-mold trays to your product dimensions and required compartment layout, based on your 3D drawing or physical sample. Samples are provided for approval before mass production.
